The importance of protection of trademark, brand, designs, slogans, logo & everything involving the Mr. Chill & Mr. Fluffy Company


At this moment, the Mr. Chill & Mr. Fluffy Company is a small start-up clothing brand. We started with a line of 11 T-shirts and would love to extend that number to 22 models in the very near future. Once the new models have been released, we want to expand our apparel to hoodies, polo shirts, caps and of course, more T-shirts. Our dream in 2023 is to create a wider range of clothing pieces within our collections & maybe even some accessories.

While we are currently a small one-location company based in Brussels, Belgium; we have been very ambitious from day one and created an international website with an online shop with global reach. We have also run from day one our ‘Mr. Chill & Mr. Fluffy International Charity Program’ and selected seven renowned international charity organisations to work with. 

In other words, we want our small unknown start-up to become a big and well-known brand across Europe and all over the world. That is why we have invested time and effort from the very beginning in order to protect our brand name, logo, slogan and basically everything that makes our personas and company: Mr. Chill & Mr. Fluffy.

That sounds nice, doesn’t it? But you might be wondering: That is quite an investment, isn’t it?

It is indeed a big investment, but the risk of leaving your idea unprotected is even bigger. So, once you have something concrete and unique, it is always better to register it. We also advice to have professionals do the procedure. Experts who will guide you through the whole journey. This will become your protection shield, so, you really don’t want to mess it up. Even as important as your trademark registration: protecting your designs, slogans and all graphic material is essential. This is to ensure you are recognised as the owner of your creations. We choose to do this at the – Benelux Office for intellectual Property.

This procedure is less complex and we believe it you can do it on your own. It is also more affordable to do it by yourself. However, if at any point you are not confident, ask for professional help.

Once you have registered and created an account at the BOIP, all your designs, slogans, quotes, expressions and anything that has been developed in your company, can be uploaded to their database. Your creations, such as the designs of all of our t-shirts, will be protected from the date of upload into the platform. Something very important to think about when starting a brand.


NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless connectivity technology based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) enabling contactless communication between a reader and a tag. A tag is a small electronic component that can be embedded in the labels of clothing and footwear items, such as jackets, t-shirts, dresses, shoes and all kinds of apparel.

Adding an NFC tag to an object connects it to the digital world. Implementing NFC allows fashion brands to track their products & stock around the world (the most common use), create a direct two-way communication channel with consumers via their smartphone, used as an NFC reader AND ensure their authenticity.

All of our T-shirts (clothing) have a very innovative NFC chip underneath the tag that has our signature symbols 👊🏼⭐️💙. The main reason to include NFC Chips in our Mr. Chill & Mr. Fluffy T-shirts, is connecting people. You will see that your T-shirt encourages positive conversations; both with friends and total strangers, and that for us, is more than wonderful.

As we mentioned before, our project is very beautiful to us and we believe it will reach sky-high heights and it will become a famous clothing brand. One that will not only be recognised for its quality and quality but also for helping people spread love and positivity.
